Big Sky Bear

Pre-owned used in very good condition, suitable for display or gifting. Very scarce moose carved wooden figure. Signed with stamp on underside “BIG SKY CARVERS MONTANA”. This is an older piece from Jeff Fleming’s Big Sky Carvers art studio Montana. This moose is very attractive with stained wood and painted features, and glass eyes, large removable antlers, and a cute comical facial expression and overly large face and nose. Overall length is 18″, height at shoulder’approx 9″, max width at antlers is 17. Beautifully carved, makes a whimsical addition to your original rustic American art collection. Great for lodge, lake house, mountain cabin, Adirondack camp, or home/office of wildlife enthusiasts. It does not have a metal tag. Just an adorable and hard to find, carved wood black bear Jeff Fleming? By Big Sky Carvers. Meant to hang, either on a deck railing, window sill, etc let your imagination go wild! Its a large sized piece, 23 inches long by 7 inches wide by 7 inches deep, has predrilled holes on his paws, ready to go. I do not believe this piece has actually been hung, there are no wood burrs to indicate otherwise. I bought it from someone who said they didnt use it, and I know I havent used it. I wish I could but my deck gets a tremendous amount of sun and I really would rather it be well taken care of. So, its a hand made piece, as such there are small imperfections. Also, I dont know where the white rub came from, its not that noticeable but again, its there. There is also a small piece of wood out near the back ear, it looks like it came out from where the knot in the wood is located. I cannot confirm if the extra paint around happened at manufacture or after. I know I didnt do it! Its a spectacular piece, Im nit-picking to make sure the next owner is just as happy as I was to have it, even if I couldnt get it mounted.
