1996 BIG SKY CARVERS BSC/Jeff Fleming 37 Eagle/Bear Totem Pole-Carved Wood. Overall 37″ tall x 26 1/2″ wide 5 1/2 deep. Width with wings removed: 7 1/2. Wings alone: 26 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ x 3/4 thick. Large vintage totem pole woodcarving. By BIG SKY CARVERS. Hand carved and painted pine. Markings: “BSC” carved on back. Brass badge: “Big Sky Carvers – Manhattan, Montana-USA – 1996″. I recently acquired this totem pole from the estate of the original owner. On close inspection you may detect a couple small shallow dings near the bottom edge of the totem pole — one on front (to the right of the badge) and one on back (above and to the right of the “C”). Nothing significant or at all conspciuous. Otherwise the totem pole is in excellent original condition with no damage and no significant wear. No restorations or touch ups. No other dings or dents. No nicks, bruises, chips, cracks, losses, breaks, splits. No significant scuffs or rubs. Very clean as found. From a smoke free home. No pet odors or other unpleasant odors. Plates have some utensil marks, some light scrapes on the bottom rims, one bottom rim has a tiny flea bite, and one tiny scrape on the top rim. Please see such imperfections in my photos. These minor imperfections do not detract from the overall great appearance of the plates! Size: 8 1/2 in. It is a good idea to check the lead content, etc. Of all dishes especially vintage ones! Many dishes even newer ones and pottery have unacceptable lead content and and are not safe especially for children and pregnant women! Painted dishes are more prone to have lead.
