The outside of the base is designed to look like bark. This figurine is very rare. Unfortunately, it fell off the table and broke. We have glued it, but it shows, depending on the light. The flash really shows it, but it I don’t think it shows in shadow. While most pictures use flash, some pictures are without flash or in shadow. Please see the pictures for more details. All three bears are in excellent condition showing very minor ware. They were a little dusty from sitting on a shelf for many years, I them a good once over, but they need a more thorough cleaning.
