VINTAGE Hand Carved 33 Wooden Black Bear Holding a Trout Big Sky Carvers By Jeff Fleming Montana. It is signed on the reverse of the base BSG. The bear weighs approximately 14 pounds. He stands 33 inches tall and the base is approximately 7 inches by 7 inches. Jeff started woodcarving over 30 years ago, and still enjoys carving these one of a kind bears. All original wood bears are carved from big, dead, dry ponderosa pine logs. Many of these trees are over 400 years old. Jeff’s bears can be found throughout the US and Canada, most national parks, and even Disney World.
