For sale is a 2006 Marc Pierce Home Schooled Big Sky Carvers sculpture. It features what appears to be a mama bear and her two cubs fishing for salmon. It really is quite striking! It stands about 11″ tall by about 13″ long, by about 6.5 wide. The sculpture was repaired at one point. The elevated portion of the log with the larger bear broke off and was reattached (See pictures #2-3). It’s difficult to notice this from a distance but you can tell if looking closely. I think the sculpture still displays quite well! Please examine the pictures for the best idea of condition and feel free to ask any questions you may have!

Where the River Gives Life. Inspired by Ezekiel 47:9. Where the river flows, everything will live. The verse speaks to renewal, abundance, and the life-giving presence of God – themes reflected in the flowing water, thriving fish, and peaceful forest environment. This original acrylic painting captures a powerful moment of wilderness provision: a grizzly bear at the river’s edge beneath beams of light breaking through forest trees. Salmon move beneath the water’s surface as the bear drinks – a quiet but commanding image of strength sustained by living water. The light streaming through the trees symbolizes hope, renewal, and divine provision. This piece is not simply wildlife art – it is a visual meditation on promise. Painted in 2025, this work has remained in the Gravitt family’s private collection until now and is being released for the first time. Is more than a wildlife scene-it is a visual meditation on provision, renewal, and quiet strength. The painting reflects the moment where life flourishes wherever the river flows. The grizzly bear, powerful yet calm, represents strength sustained by abundance rather than conflict. The salmon and flowing water symbolize renewal, purpose, and the unseen forces that sustain life. Brandon Gravitt captures a moment of stillness rather than spectacle-inviting the viewer to pause, reflect, and recognize the sacred in the natural world. The filtered light, gentle movement of water, and grounded presence of the bear all echo the verse’s message. Where life flows, everything lives. For collectors, this piece matters because it. Carries intentional meaning, not just visual appeal. Connects faith, nature, and contemporary wildlife art. Represents a documented, one-of-a-kind work from an emerging artist at an early stage of his career. It is a piece meant to be lived with-returning something deeper each time it is viewed. About the Artist – Brandon Gravitt. Brandon Gravitt is an emerging contemporary artist whose work centers on nature, wildlife, and faith-inspired symbolism. Working primarily in acrylic, his paintings explore moments of stillness-where strength, provision, and quiet reflection intersect. Rather than focusing on spectacle, Brandon’s work invites viewers to slow down and observe the sacred rhythms present in the natural world. Biblical themes often inform his compositions, not as overt narratives, but as underlying foundations that guide mood, balance, and meaning. Each piece is hand-painted, signed, and created as a one-of-a-kind original, documented through The Gravitt Gallery to preserve authenticity and provenance for collectors. Critique by a professional artist on this painting. ? My Personal Take on the Piece (Honestly & Directly). Painting – not because it’s loud, dramatic, or technically flashy, but because it knows exactly what it is. What stands out most to me is the restraint. Brandon didn’t overwork the bear, didn’t dramatize the salmon, didn’t force the light. That restraint gives the piece credibility. It feels considered, not performative. The river is doing the emotional heavy lifting – which is exactly right given the scripture. The water isn’t just background; it’s the. Of the river, not in dominance over it. That’s a mature conceptual choice. The painting feels sincere. It doesn’t feel like it’s trying to sell faith or wildlife – it feels like it’s bearing witness to both. That’s rare, especially this early in an artist’s journey. If this were hanging quietly in a home, office, or chapel space, I think it would grow on the viewer over time, not peak on day one. Those are the works that matter. ?? The Gravitt Gallery – About Us.
